History

T. P. Turner has owned and operated cranes since the 1960s and in its fiftieth year of incorporation is focused on the continued growth of this division and to providing excellence in customer service.

T.P. Turner began expanding its crane hire business in the 70s with the purchase of two truck-mounted pin jib cranes with a five and seven tonne lifting capacity. These machines were mostly used for civil construction projects and were occasionally hired out.

In 1987, T. P. Turner replaced its ageing fleet with a fully hydraulic truck mounted crane. This crane worked more for other companies than it did for T.P. Turner and was regularly hired out. By the early 90s, the company was faced with a choice - get serious about crane hire or focus on other aspects of the business.

T.P Turner's decision to develop the crane hire division was reinforced by their decision to employ Jimmy Walker as the crane hire manager. Mr Walker joined the team in mid 1991 and bought with him over 30 years of experience and knowledge in rigging and crane operation.

Under Mr Walker's guidance and expertise, the crane division has grown into a substantial business. What began in 1991 with a team of one is now a committed team of 12.

With a fleet of modern and reliable cranes and a team of operators, schedulers, dogmen, riggers, and support staff, T.P. Turner is firmly focused on the sustained growth of this successful division and our commitment to exceeding industry standards.

Our team's high service standards and professionalism ensure our regular clients' satisfaction with T.P. Turner. We are proud to be one of south east Queensland's most reliable and respected crane hire organisations.
